- After every successful shrink operation where the window is still valid, we update the answer with the current window length.
- Continue this process until the right pointer reaches the end of the array.
The critical idea is that every time we fix the right boundary, we push the left boundary as far as possible without losing validity, ensuring that every minimal valid window is considered exactly once.
Why it works
At any moment, the algorithm maintains a window that accurately reflects the frequency distribution of elements between left and right. The invariant is that whenever the window is marked valid, it contains all distinct elements of the full array.
