Algorithm Walkthrough
We model the dungeon as a graph that we build incrementally. Each discovered physical location becomes a node with up to four labeled edges. We maintain a mapping from node id to its neighbors in the four directions.
- We start at the initial cell and create node 0 for it. We store its observed wall pattern.
- From the current node, we iterate over the four directions in fixed order. For each direction, we read whether it is a wall or a possible move.
- If the direction is a wall, we simply record it and continue. No movement is attempted.
- If the direction is not a wall and has not been explored from this node, we issue a move in that direction.

- We link the current node and the new node in both directions according to the move.
