With both n and m up to 100000, this leads to 10^10 operations in the worst case, which is not remotely feasible.
The key observation is that for a fixed time T, each friend’s reachable region is a contiguous segment on the line. The problem becomes a coverage problem: do these segments cover all mailbox points? Once mailboxes are sorted, this can be checked in linear time by sweeping through both sorted lists.
This transforms the problem into a decision problem: for a given T, we can check feasibility in O(n + m). The answer itself is monotonic in T, because if all mailboxes can be cleaned in time T, then they can also be cleaned in any larger time. This monotonicity allows binary search over T.

4. Greedily consume reachable mailboxes per friend
For a given friend, once we reach a valid starting mailbox, we advance the mailbox pointer as long as the mailbox is within the reachable interval.
This effectively assigns each mailbox to the earliest friend that can cover it, without revisiting decisions.

If the pointer reaches the end of mailbox list, the time T is sufficient.
6. Binary search over T
We search over T from 0 up to max distance between any mailbox and any friend. Each mid value is tested with can(mid).
Why it works
The correctness comes from the structure that both coverage regions and targets lie on a line. For any fixed T, each friend contributes a continuous interval, and feasibility reduces to whether a set of intervals covers all points.
