A second naive idea is to simulate a full cycle of the permutation for each query and record all adjacency events. That would cost $O(n^2)$ per test case in the worst case and would not survive the constraints.
Approaches
The crucial observation is that the permutation decomposes into independent cycles. Each ferret moves along its cycle with a fixed offset per step. If we fix a starting time $k$, the position of a ferret is determined entirely by its index within its cycle plus $k$ modulo the cycle length.
This turns the problem into a synchronization question between two cyclic walks. For ferrets $a$ and $b$, suppose they lie in cycles $A$ and $B$ of lengths $L_A$ and $L_B$. At time $k$, their positions within their cycles shift by $k \bmod L_A$ and $k \bmod L_B$. We want to know whether there exists a time $k$ such that their actual labels form an edge of the fixed circle.
Instead of thinking in terms of time, we reverse the perspective. Consider a fixed edge on the circle, say between positions $u$ and $v$. For $u$ and $v$ to simultaneously be occupied by $a$ and $b$ at time $k$, the offsets must satisfy two modular equations. This creates a system of congruences in $k$, which is solvable if and only if a certain residue condition holds modulo the greatest common divisor of the cycle lengths.
This reduces the problem to checking whether there exists at least one circle-adjacent pair $(u, v)$ such that the difference in their cycle offsets matches the difference between $a$ and $b$, modulo $\gcd(L_A, L_B)$.
The brute force approach would try all circle edges for every query. That is too slow because there are $O(n)$ edges and $O(q)$ queries.
The key structural insight is that each circle edge connects two permutation cycles, and for each such pair of cycles we only need to store which residue classes of offset differences appear among their connecting edges. Since each original edge of the circle contributes exactly once to such a pair, the total number of stored records is linear in $n$.
This lets us preprocess all edges into a map indexed by pairs of cycles, and for each pair store a set of feasible residues modulo the corresponding gcd. Each query then reduces to one lookup in that structure.

Every circle adjacency edge encodes one such constraint. Storing all constraints per cycle pair preserves exactly the set of achievable alignments, and no other interactions are possible because the permutation cycles evolve independently.
