Our own team also has a strength and a weight, but we are allowed to choose a positive integer difficulty for our own problem.
Whenever a team solves a problem, it receives a balloon whose “load capacity” equals the problem’s difficulty. Each team always solves all problems whose difficulty does not exceed its strength, including its own problem regardless of difficulty. The total load on a team is the sum of all balloon capacities it receives, and if this total ever exceeds the team’s weight, that team is eliminated. A team survives if its total load is at most its weight.
The winner is the team that solves strictly more problems than every other team. Since every team solves its own problem, the only way to win is to ensure that our team survives and strictly outsolves all others, meaning we must survive while forcing as many other teams as possible to remain limited in solved problems due to strength constraints, and we must choose a difficulty that makes this possible.
The input size reaches 100,000 teams, with strengths up to 100,000 and weights up to 10^9. This immediately rules out any solution that simulates behavior per candidate difficulty or per team interaction in quadratic form. Any approach that considers all possible chosen difficulties independently is infeasible because the difficulty range alone is up to 100,000, and for each choice we would need linear processing.
A subtle issue is that a team’s survival depends on a cumulative sum over all problems they solve, not just their own problem. A naive approach that only checks whether a single added balloon exceeds weight would miss that multiple solved problems accumulate. Another failure case is assuming that increasing our chosen difficulty always helps or always hurts monotonicly, which is false because it changes both which teams solve our problem and how heavy that balloon is for them.
Approaches
A direct brute-force strategy would be to try every possible difficulty value for our problem from 1 to 100,000. For each choice, we would compute how many problems each team solves and whether any team exceeds its weight. This requires, for each candidate difficulty, iterating over all n teams to compute contributions. The resulting complexity is O(n * maxStrength), which in the worst case becomes 10^5 * 10^5, far beyond feasible limits.
The key observation is that our decision only depends on how each team interacts with our chosen difficulty relative to its strength. Each existing team either solves our problem or does not, depending on whether its strength is at least our chosen difficulty. If it does solve it, it receives an additional load equal to our chosen difficulty, and this may cause elimination depending on its remaining capacity. Meanwhile, our team solves all n problems, plus our own, so our total load depends only on how many existing problems we are strong enough to solve.
Thus, if we fix a candidate difficulty x, the structure becomes deterministic: we can precompute for each team whether di contributes to our load (only if s0 ≥ di), and for others, whether they are affected by x depends only on whether si ≥ x. This naturally suggests sorting teams by strength and using prefix or suffix aggregation to compute sums and counts efficiently.
We precompute contributions for ourselves once, since they do not depend on x. Then we need to evaluate, for a given x, whether every other team survives. This can be expressed using aggregated sums over teams with si < x and si ≥ x. Sorting by strength allows us to maintain prefix sums of weights and problem contributions.
We then iterate over candidate values of x that matter. The only meaningful thresholds are the strengths present in the input plus 1, since between two consecutive strengths the set of affected teams does not change. This reduces the search space from 100,000 values to at most 100,000 distinct events, each processed in logarithmic or linear-scan amortized time using sorted structure.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We start by observing that each existing team has a fixed contribution to its load from solving all problems it is strong enough to solve. We precompute this contribution once per team by summing all di values for which si ≥ di. This value is independent of our choice.
Next, we consider how our chosen difficulty x affects others. A team i is affected by our problem if si ≥ x. If so, its load increases by x; otherwise it ignores our problem entirely. Therefore, we need to quickly evaluate how many teams survive after adding x to those with strength at least x.
We sort all teams by strength. Alongside, we maintain prefix sums of their base loads and weights. This allows us to query aggregate statistics over any strength threshold.
We iterate over candidate x values in increasing order, treating x as a boundary that splits teams into two groups: those with strength below x and those with strength at least x. For each such split, we compute whether all teams remain within weight after adding x where applicable.
At each candidate x, we also compute our own survival condition. Our load is fixed and equals the sum of di over all i such that s0 ≥ di, plus x itself. This must not exceed w0.
We check whether for this x all other teams satisfy their constraints. If there exists at least one x that satisfies both conditions, we output “Yes”.
Why it works
The crucial invariant is that for any fixed x, the effect of our chosen difficulty on every team is fully determined by a single threshold comparison si ≥ x. This means that between consecutive values of si, the set of affected teams does not change, and neither does the feasibility outcome. Therefore, checking only boundary points of these intervals is sufficient, and no valid solution can exist strictly between two adjacent strength values without also existing at one of the boundaries.
