However, each query may require up to l transitions, and l can be 10^18. Even across q queries this becomes completely infeasible. The bottleneck is that every step requires constant time but the number of steps is unbounded.
The key structural observation is that although the process depends on visit counts, each station has only two possible behaviors and they alternate deterministically. The i-th station behaves like a toggle: the first time it is used it takes one edge, the second time it takes the other, the third time it repeats the first, and so on. So each station is effectively a two-state automaton whose state flips every time it is visited.
This allows us to reinterpret the system as a deterministic walk on a much larger state space where each station has a parity state. While the full global state is large, transitions are still deterministic and local: only the current station’s parity affects the next move. This makes it possible to apply doubling-style techniques over states that encode both position and parity behavior.
We effectively reduce the problem to jumping over a functional structure where each “state” can be thought of as a configuration of being at a station with a known toggle phase, and we precompute where repeated application of transitions leads. This enables binary lifting over time instead of step-by-step simulation.

Algorithm Walkthrough
We encode the idea that the process is deterministic over an expanded state space where the only relevant memory for a move is whether the current station is in its first-use or second-use phase. This phase flips every time the station is visited.
We precompute transitions that describe where we end up after making 2^k moves starting from a given station in a given phase. Steps

- Construct a base transition nxt[i][p] that gives the next station after making one move from state (i, p). This transition also flips the parity of the destination station, but for the purpose of jumping, we only track position and let parity be implicitly carried in the doubling structure.
- Build binary lifting tables up to 60 levels since l ≤ 10^18. Each table entry stores where we land after 2^k moves starting from (i, p). This is built by composing smaller jumps: applying two jumps of size 2^(k-1).
- For each query, initialize the state as starting station s with initial parity determined by the fact that the starting station is already visited once, so its initial phase corresponds to odd visitation.
- Decompose l into binary and apply the corresponding precomputed jumps. Each jump updates the current station and implicitly updates the parity phase according to the transition rules encoded in the table.
- Output the final station after processing all bits of l.
Why it works
Each station behaves as a deterministic toggle machine with period 2 over its outgoing edges. Although the global system includes interactions between stations via revisits, every transition depends only on the current station and its local phase. This ensures that the effect of a long sequence of moves can be decomposed into repeated composition of fixed transition functions. Binary lifting is valid because composition of these deterministic transitions is associative, and every 2^k-step function can be expressed as a composition of two 2^(k-1)-step functions without loss of information.
